Taryn Eyton

Taryn Eyton is a Squamish, BC-based adventure travel writer with two decades of outdoor experience. She is the founder of the hiking website HappiestOutdoors.ca and the author of Backpacking in Southwestern British Columbia (Greystone Books, 2021) and Backpacking on Vancouver Island (Greystone Books, 2024). Taryn also works as a freelance travel writer. Clients include Destination Vancouver, Daily Hive, and Vancouver Trails.
- Leave No Trace Master Educator (certified in 2019) and has been volunteering with Leave No Trace Canada since 2006.
